Ramesh Negi to be Delhi's acting chief secretary
In the absence of Delhi’s Chief Secretary KK Sharma, Delhi Government has appointed Ramesh Negi, IAS officer as the acting chief secretary of Delhi.

KK Sharma is supposed to be on leave till July 25.

Negi is presently the Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department. The officer will be retiring on July 31.

As the acting Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin, appointed by the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung has gone on leave, Negi has been appointed.

Interestingly, Gamlin’s appointment sparked a controversy between The AAP government and Lt Governor, Najeeb Jung.
