Addl chief secy sacked over negligence during Jat stir

After the Prakash Singh Committee report, which investigated acts of omission and commission by officials during the Jat stir, the Haryana government  relieved Additional Chief Secretary (Home) PK Das of his charge.

 

Report, which has been submitted recently, names several IAS officers, including deputy commissioners of some violence-hit districts. The report has indicted nearly 90 officials.

 

Ram Niwas, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation department, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice departments.

 

In the meantime, , in other transfers effected by state government, Shashi Bala Gulati, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour and Employment department, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Women and Child Development Department replacing Dheera Khandelwal, who will be bew Additional Chief Secretary of Information and Languages department, relieving Sanjeev Kaushal of the charge.

 

Mahavir Singh, Principal Secretary, Civil Aviation department, has been given added charge of Housing department, relieving P Raghavendra Rao of the charge.

 

Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary, Environment Monitoring and Coordination Department, has also been given charge of Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department, earlier held by Ram Niwas; and AK Singh, Principal Secretary, Technical Education department and Inquiry Officer, Vigilance, has also been given extra charge of Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment department in place of Shashi Bala Gulati.
