Govt to include 200 grain markets in its wing
Under the scheme ‘Ek Desh Ek Bazar’, the government has made 2,250 grain markets come under the scheme and aims towards bringing 200 more grain markets directly under the government wing by March 2017, says Agricultural Minister Radha Mohan Singh.
 
The Minister said this after he visited the new grain market in sector 39 of Chandigarh for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. 
 
The minister added by saying that burning paddy stubble is harmful and farmers should not indulge in it.
 
Pointing Punjab Government, he said that the government is yet to implement this scheme; however, it has allocated funds to eight states to start horticulture.
